Nominating is now in session!

Please fill out a nominating slip at the Welcome Center or send an email to office@summitchurchmn.org with your nominations. 

Only Summit Church members are allowed to nominate and each member may nominate up to three candidates. 


Below are the qualifications for Board Members as per Summit Church By-Laws. 


  1. Board Members shall be at least twenty‑five (25) years old and shall have been a member of the church for at least the twelve (12) preceding months.  
  2. Each board member shall be born again and baptized in the Holy Spirit with the initial physical evidence of speaking in tongues found in Acts 2:4.  This is in keeping with the General Council of the Assemblies of God Tenants of Faith.  Their lives and conduct  should conform as closely as possible to the scriptures (Acts 6:3; Acts 2:4; 1 Timothy 3:8-13)
  3. A member is not qualified to serve as a Church Board member if either they or their spouse has a former spouse living unless the divorce occurred (i) prior to conversion or (ii) for the scriptural causes of a former spouse’s marital unfaithfulness, or (iii) the abandonment of the believer by the unbeliever.

 

Number of Church Board Members: The number of the Board members of this church shall be at least three (3) and not exceeding nine (9), in addition to the Lead Pastor.
